Jordanian recognition and equivalency checks

Jordan’s Recognition and Certificates Equivalency Directorate publishes the official list and search system for recognized non-Jordanian universities. It also publishes current recognition and equivalency instructions. The applicable rules can depend on the student’s actual enrolment date, so an old screenshot or another graduate’s experience is not enough.

The official document guidance requires records including the original qualification and transcript, the passport used during study or border-movement evidence, travel records for study periods, certified translations where needed and degree-specific previous qualifications. It also describes authentication steps for certificates issued outside Jordan.

This means the student should preserve:

• The passport used throughout study and clear travel records.
• Secondary certificate and complete marks.
• University admission, enrolment and annual transcripts.
• Evidence of in-person study, attendance and practical or clinical components.
• Final diploma, complete transcript and any required additional training record.
• Properly authenticated documents and certified translations.

English-taught programs need a Jordan-specific language check

Jordan’s Recognition Directorate publishes separate guidance for the language of study at recognized non-Jordanian universities. For countries whose local language is not English, the guidance contains conditions for a program taught in a language other than the country’s local language, including how the program is offered and evidence relating to the local language.

Georgia’s local language is Georgian, while the programs in this guide are recorded as English-taught. Admission.ge therefore will not assume that “English-taught” alone settles Jordanian equivalency. Before enrolment, we identify the exact Alte program and request the current evidence needed for the Jordanian rule. This is especially important for Medicine, Dentistry and any field intended for professional use in Jordan.

Medicine, dentistry and professional registration

The Jordan Medical Council publishes current instructions covering registration, training and the comprehensive examination for human medicine and dentistry. Academic recognition, internship, professional registration and licensing are related but separate steps.

An Alte admission letter is not a Jordanian medical or dental licence. Before a health-program payment, the applicant should confirm:

• The current university and program recognition position.
• The degree duration and study format.
• Clinical training and internship structure.
• Jordanian equivalency requirements.
• Jordan Medical Council, professional-association and licensing requirements applicable after graduation.

The D3 study visa is required for study

Georgia’s Embassy in Jordan explains an important distinction: Jordanian citizens may generally enter Georgia visa-free under the applicable ordinance, but those travelling for study purposes must obtain a D3 study visa.

The Embassy’s current D3 list includes the passport, biometric photo, accommodation, flight reservation, travel health and accident insurance, financial evidence, the Georgian education order, university admission and required tuition-payment evidence, confirmation of the foreign-language program, and the relevant application forms. It also directs applicants to GeoConsul and requires an appointment and original documents.

Requirements and processing details can change. Admission.ge builds the applicant’s checklist from the current Embassy page after admission rather than treating general visa-free travel as permission to begin studies.

Documents for the initial review

Send clear scans of:

• Passport identification page and any relevant previous passport.
• Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate or other completed secondary qualification.
• Complete secondary marks.
• Previous university qualification and transcripts for transfer or postgraduate study.
• Documents explaining a name difference, study gap, transfer or repeated year.
• Program-specific English, science, interview or assessment evidence.
• Any existing recognition or authority correspondence for the intended field.

Do not arrange translation, authentication or legalisation before the checklist is confirmed. Admission.ge checks the source file first and identifies what must be corrected, translated, authenticated or supported.
