1. How Admission.ge verifies the institution and program
In Georgia, authorization and program accreditation are related but different.
- Institutional authorization evaluates whether a higher-education institution meets the standards required to operate. The National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement states that authorization is obligatory for higher-education institutions and that an authorized institution may issue a diploma recognized by the Georgian state.
- Program accreditation evaluates an educational program. Admission.ge checks the current decision for the exact program rather than relying only on the university’s general status.

3. Use the verified language and admission requirements
An English-taught program does not necessarily have the same English admission requirement as another program. A university may request a certificate, conduct an interview or internal assessment, accept previous English-medium education, or apply program-specific conditions.
Admission.ge shows both:

4. Understand the international-student admission process

5. Separate tuition from other costs
An annual tuition figure is not the complete cost of studying abroad. Before paying, ask for a written breakdown of:

- Government recognition charges.
- Translation, notarization, legalization, or apostille costs.
- Visa, residence permit, and insurance costs.
- Housing, food, transport, and initial arrival expenses.
- Refund and deferral conditions.
Admission.ge comparisons must state when tuition was verified and must not present a national price range based on incomplete listings.
6. Check visa and residence requirements separately
A visa and a study residence permit are different processes.
The D3 immigration-visa category is used for qualifying study or research purposes. When visa support is selected, Admission.ge checks GeoConsul and the responsible mission’s current route for the applicant and prepares the applicable document checklist.
After lawful entry, an eligible student may apply separately for a study residence permit. The State Services Development Agency publishes the current eligibility, documents, timing, processing options, and fees.
Admission or graduation does not guarantee a visa, entry, residence permit, work permit, or long-term residence.
7. Regulated professions require an additional check
Medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, law, teaching, architecture, and other regulated professions may require degree recognition, licensing examinations, language evidence, supervised practice, internship, residency, or additional study in the destination country.
Georgian authorization or accreditation does not automatically create a right to practise elsewhere. Before applying, ask the regulator in the country where you plan to work:
- Is this exact institution and qualification acceptable?
- Do graduation dates or accreditation periods matter?
- Is an internship required?
- Which examinations and language requirements apply?
- Are transferred credits accepted?
Obtain the answer from the regulator, not from a university agent.
