How International Students Apply to Georgian Universities

International admission to a Georgian university is a sequence of checks and decisions, not a single form. The exact route depends on the applicant's education, citizenship, selected program, and the university's current rules. This guide explains the usual workflow and clearly separates university, government, and Admission.ge responsibilities.

1. Choose the exact program

Start with a specific university and program, including the degree level and language of instruction. Admission.ge brings the current tuition, duration, intake availability, academic prerequisites and language assessment together in the verified program record, so the applicant can make the decision and continue the application in one platform.

_This block shows active programs represented on Admission.ge, not every program available in Georgia._

2. Complete an initial eligibility and document review

An initial review should identify the previous qualification required for the degree level, missing pages, name differences, unclear scans, translation needs, and program-specific evidence. It is not an admission decision. The university and the competent Georgian authorities make the final decisions.

Common starting documents include a passport and the educational certificate or diploma used for entry, normally with its transcript or supplement. The selected university may request additional material, an interview, or proof of the language of instruction.

3. Prepare and submit the university application

The university assesses whether it can consider the applicant for the selected program and may issue the written consent required for the applicable state enrollment route. Requirements and assessment methods vary by institution and program, so applicants should not copy a checklist from an unrelated university.

4. Complete the applicable Georgian recognition and enrollment steps

NCEQE explains that recognition of foreign education verifies the authenticity of a foreign educational document and establishes compatibility with qualifications or learning outcomes in Georgia. Its current enrollment guidance also describes the route for eligible applicants seeking the right to study without the Unified National Examinations or Common Master's Examinations.

Recognition, the right to enroll, and university admission are connected but distinct. Receiving a university communication does not mean that every government step has been completed.

5. Receive the final university decision and prepare for travel

After the required academic and state steps are complete, the university controls enrollment and its final admission documentation. Visa or immigration preparation begins from the documents applicable to the student's nationality and location. Admission does not guarantee a visa, entry, or residence permit.

What Admission.ge can do

When an applicant uses our service, Admission.ge can check the application file, identify missing or inconsistent documents, organize certified Georgian translations through the appropriate providers, prepare and submit the university application, coordinate with the university, assist with NCEQE recognition filing where included, and keep the applicant informed about the case. Optional support can include visa-document preparation, residence-permit guidance, airport pickup, and arrival services.

We prepare and coordinate; we do not manufacture evidence or guarantee decisions. Universities, NCEQE, consular authorities, border authorities, and the responsible state agencies retain their legal decision-making powers.
