Program Overview
The PhD in American Studies at IBSU offers an in-depth exploration of the United States through a multidisciplinary lens, including history, political science, cultural studies, and international relations. The program combines rigorous coursework in academic writing, research methodology, and American political and cultural thought with a strong emphasis on independent research. Students are expected to publish academic work and complete a dissertation that contributes to the global understanding of the United States’ domestic and international role. The program prepares graduates for academic, diplomatic, or analytical careers focused on U.S. affairs.

CEFR B2 level is required. Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalents.
