Georgian Technical University

Georgian Technical University traces its institutional history to the Polytechnic Faculty established in Tbilisi on 16 January 1922. Following a faculty reorganization announced in October 2025, its current academic structure comprises 11 faculties and schools spanning construction, power engineering, mining and sustainable mountain development, agricultural and chemical technologies, transport and mechanical engineering, architecture and design, informatics and control systems, law, business, and social sciences. GTU’s documented academic resources include a central scientific library, scientific research institutes and centers, faculty and research laboratories, a FABLAB technology center, an Innovation Center, publishing and inclusive-education resources, and digital student services. Its student-support units coordinate career development, student initiatives, scientific conferences, exchange opportunities, internships, clubs, cultural and sports activities, and psychological counseling.
