Tbilisi State Medical University is a public medical university in Tbilisi, established as the Tbilisi State Medical Institute in 1930. It provides higher education and research through the Faculties of Medicine, Stomatology, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, including international medical and stomatology education.
Tbilisi State Medical University was established on 10 June 1930 from the Faculty of Medicine of Tbilisi State University, and became Tbilisi State Medical University in 1992. Its official history lists five faculties: Medicine, Stomatology, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation includes nursing and midwifery bachelor’s programs. The university publishes international-admissions services, international medical and stomatology education, university clinics, library, student organisations, and international-relations resources. Its international admissions division provides document and application guidance. The university publishes a student-dormitory project at 14 Uznadze Street that is under construction; it is not presented here as completed accommodation.
