Georgian Aviation University

Georgian Aviation University’s official history dates its establishment to 27 March 1992. The university operates three faculties—Flight Training, Engineering, and Business Administration—alongside a Maintenance Training Organization, Vocational Training Centre, International Aviation Training Center, and Scientific Research Centre. Teaching is provided in Georgian and English. Theoretical and simulator-based flight instruction is conducted in Tbilisi, while practical flight training takes place at Telavi Airport. The university’s documented training resources include airplane and helicopter simulators, a training-aircraft fleet, specialized laboratories, an aircraft-maintenance training facility, a Boeing 737-200 aircraft, and a Rolls-Royce RB211 engine. Its research center supports aviation-engineering research, student projects, scientific publishing, and technical conferences.
