Before booking travel

A university letter or paid tuition does not legally guarantee boarding or border entry.

Book only after understanding change and cancellation terms. Keep enough time for official documents, and do not rely on a promised deadline that the issuing authority has not confirmed.

Carry essential records securely

Keep originals and protected digital copies of the passport, visa or entry evidence, university admission or enrollment documents, tuition receipts, education documents, translations, recognition or enrollment decisions where applicable, accommodation details, insurance documents, and emergency contacts. Do not place every original in checked baggage.

The university may require original documents or further verification after arrival. Ask for its current registration checklist before travel.

Housing and airport plan

Confirm the full address, contact person, check-in time, deposit, rent, utilities, refund rules, and how you will reach the property. If airport pickup is arranged, verify the driver or representative through the official service contact before entering a vehicle. Avoid paying an unknown person solely on the basis of a social-media message.

Money and communications

Prepare more than one lawful way to access funds and understand bank, card, and exchange charges. Carry only a sensible amount of cash. Arrange a working phone connection, save the university and Admission.ge contacts, and share the arrival plan with a trusted person.

First academic tasks

Report to the correct university office, complete registration, learn the academic calendar, obtain student-system access, confirm the tuition schedule, and ask how subject registration and attendance work. Keep written proof of every document submitted and payment made.

Residence planning after arrival

If a study residence permit is needed, the Admission.ge case team checks the live SDA requirements early and prepares the applicable document list. The SDA states that the study permit is for study at an authorized institution and generally requires lawful stay, a university study certificate, qualifying financial evidence and other listed items.
