The General Medicine Program at Tbilisi State University (TSU) is a six-year, full-time undergraduate program taught entirely in English, designed for international students seeking a globally recognized Medical Doctor (MD) qualification. The program carries 360 ECTS credits, in line with European standards, and is approved by Georgia’s national quality assurance bodies. TSU’s program provides rigorous training in basic medical sciences, clinical disciplines, and public health, with a strong focus on practical experience. Students begin their education with foundational courses in anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, and microbiology, and gradually advance into specialized clinical fields such as internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, gynecology, and neurology. Practical training is conducted in TSU-affiliated hospitals and clinics, where students gain real-world clinical exposure under the supervision of experienced Georgian and international medical professionals. Graduates are eligible to take international licensing exams such as USMLE (USA), PLAB (UK), and other country-specific certifications, allowing them to continue their careers or postgraduate studies worldwide.
