Dentistry

The Dentistry Program in English at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) is a five-year undergraduate program (300 ECTS) designed to educate international students in accordance with European higher education standards. The program leads to the award of Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and is delivered entirely in English by highly qualified Georgian and international faculty. The curriculum covers all major fields of dental science, including anatomy, oral pathology, periodontology, prosthodontics, orthodontics, restorative dentistry, and oral surgery. It integrates classroom-based theoretical learning with advanced practical training using state-of-the-art dental laboratories and TSU-affiliated clinical facilities. Students begin preclinical training in the early years and transition to clinical rotations with real patients under expert supervision in the final years. The program emphasizes not only technical skills but also professional ethics, communication, and patient-centered care. Graduates are eligible to pursue postgraduate studies, take international licensure exams (e.g., NDEB, ORE, ADC), or begin dental practice in countries where the degree is recognized.
