Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) is a leading public medical university in Tbilisi, Georgia, established on the foundation of the Faculty of Medicine at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, and later became independent in 1930.
TSMU is the largest and one of the oldest medical universities in Georgia and Eastern Europe, with a rich heritage dating back to 1918 and formal independence in 1930. It enrolls around 7,500 undergraduates and 3,000 postgraduate students, about 25–26% of whom are international.
TSMU offers a range of programs including undergraduate (MD, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Public Health, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation), graduate, and doctoral degrees. Instruction is offered in English, Georgian, Russian, and French.
